Sex and food

Read this quote from C. S. Lewis:
You can get a large audience together for a strip-tease act—that is, to watch a girl undress on the stage. Now suppose you come to a country where you could fill a theatre by simply bringing a covered plate on to the state and then slowly lifting the cover so as to let everyone see, just before the lights went out, that it contained a mutton chop or a bit of bacon, would you not think that in that country something had gone wrong with the appetite for food? (Mere Christianity)
Most of us did with that graf what Lewis intended when he penned it. We linked the appetite for food to the appetite for sex and agreed with Lewis that something was wrong with the way our culture treated sex.
But someone else must have read it and said, “Ah, a new business model.” And then: Hello, Food Network.

This is awesome Joel! Love it!
I have always thought of this quote when I see Food Network!
Another enjoyable little post from the itty, bitty keyboard of the doctor. Keep up the good work, my friend.
